After its proud debut in 2002, the Route 66 International Film Festival continues to bring exciting independent films from around the world to Springfield, Illinois, providing a venue for new filmmakers to show their work, share ideas with other filmmakers, and entertain audiences with films they might never otherwise see. Films shown at this festival have earned notable recognition, including nominations for Academy Awards.
